Abstract
This presentation will be presented at the HFTC Conference in Houston in February 2025 with the Society of Petroleum Engineers International. This presentation will go through the field study done which evaluates the performance of different composite frac plugs used in hydraulic fracturing. Six types were tested in the field, with diagnostics revealing varying success rates. Key findings highlight that most failures were due to leaks at the ball seat and abrupt changes in injection rates. The study offers a workflow to improve frac plug design for better isolation during treatments.
